The Latin word Gaudium means 'joy' and 'delight.' It refers to a deep, heartfelt sense of happiness, contentment, and lasting inner peace.
FOUNDER'S STORY
Maud van Dijck – Founder
​
Maud van Dijck, founder of Gaudium, grew up surrounded by design, development, and entrepreneurship. With generations of her family active in real estate, construction, and development—and a mother who is an interior designer—her fascination with creating spaces began early.
​
After completing her Master’s degree, Maud built her career in innovation and consulting, working with global companies including Philips, Accenture, and Bain & Company. While she gained extensive experience helping organizations develop new ideas and strategies, she felt increasingly drawn back to the creative and entrepreneurial world she grew up in. This led her to expand her experience and expertise into design and real estate.

Having lived in six countries and travelled extensively, Maud developed a global perspective on travel, design, art, real estate, and culture. Gaudium was founded to bring these influences together—combining real estate, design, innovation, art, and travel into a platform dedicated to creating thoughtful spaces, distinctive concepts, and meaningful experiences.​
